Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s With AI Based Dual Rear Cameras Launched

Xiaomi has today finally launched its latest flagship smartphone the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s in China. The smartphone comes with the price tag of 3299 yuan ($527/ Rs. 34,000 approx.) for 64GB storage variant, 3599 Yuan ($575/ Rs. 37,000 approx.) for 128GB storage variant and 3999 Yuan ($639/ Rs. 41442 approx.) for the highest 256GB storage model .It comes in Black and White Colour options. The smartphone is up for pre-orders today at 6 PM and will go on sale starting from 3rd April 10 AM.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s Design

In terms of Design, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s follows the same design language as its predecessor, the front panel sports a tri-bezel-less design with minimal bezels on the top and sides and a narrow chin on the bottom. It features a 7000-series aluminum frame and four-sided curved ceramic body. Unlike some previous rumors, the Mi Mix 2s will not sport a small display notch on the top right corner. The bottom bezel houses the front-facing camera similar to the Mi Mix 2.  On the back, Mi MIX 2S is fitted with a dual camera setup at the top-left corner of the rear shell.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s Specifications

Talking about the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s runs on MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. It sports a 5.99” Full-HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) 18:9 IPS LCD  Full Screen 2.0 display. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It offers 4GB of LPDDR4X of RAM with 64GB UFS 2.1 storage, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and lastly 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The internal storage cannot be further expanded as there is no microSD card slot.
For photography, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s sports a dual rear camera setup with a combination of two 12MP Sony IMX363 sensors with 1.4 um pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel autofocus, 4-axis OIS, phase-detection autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and 4K video recording. The secondary offers 2x optical zoom, The smartphone can click images with six different background blur effects such as AI Dream Bokeh, Van Gogh Starry Night effect and so on. The AI scene feature on the phone can identify up to 206 objects and scenes in the frame, and then adjust the camera settings such as colours, contrast, and white balance automatically for better and clearer images. The AI also support for real-time language translation and currency. It can record videos at Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) at 60 frames per second and HD resolution (1280×720 pixels) at 120 frames per second. On the front, The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a 5MP AI enabled selfie shooter; it can capture DSLR-like background blur images with single sensor. It also supports face unlock feature.
The Xiaoi Mi Mix 2s is fueled by a 3400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi wireless charging as well. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. There is also fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone. The company has also launched its own 7.5W Qi wireless charging station at the price tag of Yuan 99 ($15/ Rs. 1,020 approx.) only.
