Samsung Teases Galaxy Note 9’s Bigger Battery Ahead of Launch

Samsung is set to launch the next-gen Galaxy Note device next month at its Unpacked event. The company sent out invitesfor the event earlier this month, and it’s now teasing a bigger battery for its upcoming flagship device today.
In a new 30-second video, Samsung essentially shows how users run out of battery so quick on flagship phones nowadays. “A lot can change in a day” is the tagline for the video, and it ends with the date August 9, which is when the firm is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 9. We are not sure exactly how much the battery will improve, but rumours suggest that the device will make a 4,000mAh battery.
That’s a major upgrade from the Note 8’s 3,300mAh battery, though Samsung will most certainly have to be quite careful about the bigger battery. For one, the company made the battery on the Note 8 smaller from the Note 7’s 3,500mAh battery after it started catching fire. So the upgrade from 3,300mAh to 4,000mAh is quite large, and Samsung has likely spent months into testing the bigger battery in order to prevent the same disaster from happening again.
