OUKITEL WP5000 Put Through 14 Durability Tests In New Video

The OUKITEL WP5000 is a new rugged phone from OUKITEL and as part of the launch process the company has been releasing various videos to showcase the general durability of the phone. The most recent of which is now live and sees the OUKITEL WP5000 being put through its hardest tests to date.
This is due to the video showing the OUKITEL WP5000 going through no less than fourteen durability tests and while a number of them focus on the waterproof nature of the phone, some of the tests are a little less orthodox than one might expect. For example, one of the water-based tests not only sees the OUKITEL WP5000 being submerged in water, but the phone (in the water) is then put in the freezer and left there until the OUKITEL WP5000 is trapped within an ice block. This is followed by the opposite taking place where boiling water is poured directly on the phone before it is left to sit in the hot water for a short period of time. These tests not only highlight the IP68 rating in general, but also how the phone continues to operate even when subjected to very hot and cold conditions. The tests then continue with various other underwater trials including showing the phone making a call while underwater, various drop and impact tests, as well as the phone once again being submerged although this time in various powders including lime powder, flour, and so on. All with a view to further highlighting just how rugged this new OUKITEL phone is.
Besides its durable build quality and protections, the OUKITEL WP5000 features a 5.7-inch display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio, resulting in a 1440 x 720 resolution. Inside the OUKITEL WP5000 comes powered by 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 processor. On the rear of the device is a 16-megapixel camera, while the front houses an 8-megapixel camera. Additional features include microSD support, a 5,200 mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, and Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). In terms of the price, the OUKITEL WP5000 is due to become available at $299.99, although OUKITEL is currently offering $40 off coupons to those who subscribe through the company’s website.
