Oppo has silently launched a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as Oppo A1 in China. The smartphone comes with the price tag of Rs. 1,399 Yuan ($ /Rs. 14,400 approx.) and will be available to purchase starting from April 1. It comes in Cherry Red, Dark Blue, and Pearly White colour options.
The Oppo A1 features a metal unibody design with minimal side bezels and rounded corners. A single camera and a LED flash module are placed on the top right corner at the back. The Blue and Red colour variants have a matte finish, while the white color variant comes with a reflective glass finish.
Talking about the specifications, the Oppo A1 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat Operating system with Colour OS skin on top. spots a 5.7” HD (720 x 1440 pixels) 18:9 S-IPS display. The smartphone is powered by an unknown MediaTek processor. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
For photography, the Oppo A1 comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12 µm, PDAF and LED Flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter for selfies and video calls. It also comes with facial recognition technology to unlock the device. It captures 128 unique facial features to provide accurate Facial Unlock.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3180mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Sensors on board include Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor, Accelerator Sensor. The smartphone also has a gaming acceleration mode that allows the smartphone to optimise memory usage even when 10 games are simultaneously running in the background.
